Shipping policy

We ship living carnivorous plants nationwide using couriers experienced with temperature-sensitive freight. Orders are typically dispatched on Mondays to minimise weekend delays in transit.

• Packaging: Specimens are secured in laboratory-grade sphagnum and climate-appropriate insulation. Pots are stabilised so traps and pitchers are not crushed in handling.
• Rates: Shipping is calculated at checkout based on destination, cart size, and courier service. All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Processing: We aim to dispatch within a few business days of payment. During peak season or extreme weather, dispatch may take longer — we will email you if your order is held.
• Receiving your parcel: Unbox as soon as practical. Photograph any damage to the plant and packaging before repotting. Acclimate the specimen to its growing environment gradually; avoid direct sun or fertiliser for the first week after transit.
• Live arrival: Report transit damage within 48 hours with clear photos so we can assist under our return and refund policy.
• Hold for weather: We may delay dispatch during extreme heat or cold to protect living stock. We will contact you if your order is held.
• Remote & PO boxes: Some lines are unsuitable for very long transits or locker delivery. Contact us before ordering rare or high-value specimens if you are unsure about your address.
